All weddings are special, but this one was especially memorable for me and the entire Beachside Occasions crew. After three years of creating beautiful ceremonies for other people, Shane traded in his shovel and t-shirt for a suit and a spot on the pavilion as the groom at this Ocean Isle Beach wedding.
I have to admit Paul and I both cringed a bit when Shane first asked us for the third Saturday in September. Though his request came nearly two years in advance that weekend is always one of our most popular dates and we knew this would mean giving up a lot of business. Yes, we often perform two weddings on Saturdays, but we decided to block his date so we could both witness Shane’s big day. Shane you must be a good friend because over the next 18 months we turned down 5 brides!
Meeting Brooke was a special treat. After hearing about her for two years it was a bit like reconnecting with an old friend. She was just as sweet as Shane had described her and we were so happy to be part of their wedding day
